Tymor Wrap-Up Thread

Those were definitely the most difficult conditions I have raced my MTB in. I think the Mercer Cup takes the cake for all time slop fests. But this was DAMN close! A good fun day and what could be a more fun place to ride if it was dry! Good job all!

I'm pretty sure I sucked pretty bad behind the camera overall.
Still working on em though.

I liked the river of mud on one of the last downhills. On the first lap i cleared it no problem. On the second lap i had walk DOWN! Had a blast though.🙂

I don't think I had 45 PSI if y9ou added up both tires. Ok, maybe I did but barely.

Jeez I look pretty clean in that pic. Muct have been the pre-ride.

first lap was sweet, I was hanging around within striking distance. second lap I was striking trees with my head. That was the worst physical beating I've taken in a while. Thanks 2 those who fished me out of the gully. Congrats to everyone out there for taking this one on.

Big THANK YOU to those who remember MY 581!!!

Today was a tough muddy mess and also ALOT of fun!

It's not that eazy to navigate through all that mud...I'm sure glad that I was in Hartshore in the SNOW and ICE so I could practice my balance on ice and snow which REALLY helped to get me a second place finish...My second podium in as many races!!!!!

Race one.. 1st place
Race two.. 2nd place

WOW!

Congratulations to everyone who finished!
and everyone who tried it REALLY is ALL about FUN!

And special thanks to all the folks with the kind words about "MY" 581 !

yeah that was the preride norm. IIRC when you came by on your 2nd lap your back tire was almost flat. was i seeing things?

You may have been seeing things but not totally sure. I run low (sub 30) but not crazy low. That was actually a tricky bit of trail so it's possible I was pressing hard on the inside that that point and stretching the tire for all it's worth. Last race I did burp some air in it but I think it held ok today. I guess I'll know next time I get on it.

Today was muddy and hard. I'm putting in a request for dry conditions next round:popcorn:

Also, there are too many Bulldog guys to keep track of. I think Alistair and I are the only ones in my class that are NOT Bulldogs😀

Alistair from NYCMTB murdered it out there today!! Great job!!

Good job overall to all the racers, it's great to see so many people out there tearing it up:getsome:

First time for everything....

Today was my second race ever and I managed to have mechanicals on not just one but two bikes. Yes, that's right, I said 2 bikes!!

My 29er never even made it into the race... Yeah that was me you all saw with my bike in pieces. But I will say thanks to the excellent folks who sponsored the race I was setup on the sweet orange Specialized ladies demo bike and was able to start the race today....

No thanks to that first big root that took me (and just about everyone else from what I'm reading) out... mechanical #2. I got one lap in with a skipping chain, and had to throw in the towel. At least this all makes for a good story 🙂

Thanks to Brandon, Dustin and Ronnie I was able to laugh off the craziness of breaking 2 bikes in one day. What are the chances of that anyway??

I'll get em next time!!!

It's a plot for us to totally mess with your head! Muhahahah! It gets even better when you have to ride through our guys in the 19-29 and SS class 😀 On the other hand I did get to see you for the majority of the first lap today - which was nice. I settled in 2nd lap and thought I was in the middle of nowhere and probably 8th or 9th. I kept on and pimped slapped a tree which i "should" have broken my arm and put myself back together and kept on it hoping maybe someone would be pedaling backwards. Had a great time and got to go home with some $$$ that was nice. Crazy conditions and lots of fun for sure.
