NNJ for Noobs

So I've typically avoided this section of the state by and large. I've ridden Sterling, Allamuchy once or twice. I actually do frequent DMP fairly regularly, and between there and CR, those are my favorite NJ trails. I'd like to start pushing myself a bit more with tech with Whistler on my horizon the end of the summer, so I am looking for recommendations. Stephen's seems appropriate, but I want to hear from you guys.

Agreed that Stephens is the next step in progression. DMP really doesn’t qualify as tech in the realm of NNJ, there are a couple really short segments, but it’s mostly XC and flow.

Stephens, Mahlon Dickerson, Allamuchy, Kittatiny Valley (also not much tech), Jungle Habitat… these are my local stomping grounds. If you want a tour, shoot me a message, I’d be happy to take you out to see what’s out there!

Training for the big W? You need to work on the steeper stuff, that and Rocky and rooty stuff. You want Rocky? Jungle, school side of ringwood and wayway has a bunch of stuff. The white or crossover in ringwood… descending that is not bad. If you can cross the Hutson, blue mountain and ninam will get you lots of rocks. You should spend some time in the bike parks. The creek is ok but it only has 700ft of vertical, the right side of kilington has some stuff…..
