25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

Agree on Elk. It’s got an old school VT vibe albeit on a PA scale size-wise. You can also buy 2 and 4 hour reloadable passes so you don’t have to spend more money or time than you want to.

Gore is pretty good today. Got a few inches last night for a refresh. Bark eater glades and straight brook quad glades have been getting lapped.

Few questions:
-Anyone like skis way too tall for them? I’m 5’9” and ski 187-191.
-Am I stuck in the old race era of duct taping my toes for a leaky toe dam?

I bought some enforcer 99s this year and they are 179s... They seem huge... No idea how I used to ski on 195s

Was at Blue this weekend for the opening and it was a shitshow. One of the 6 person lifts wasn't running for the first two hours making lines long and annoying. It finally got spinning somewhere around two to make it more manageable but still crowded. The snow was amazing though. Got to see my kids eat shit repeatedly in the power as they had no idea how to ski it. A bunch of runs in the few trees that they have there made it totally worth it. We got 5 runs in and left at 4. Not the mileage we were hoping, but a fun time nonetheless.

We are off to ski Killington on Monday. I hope the conditions hold out for us.

Damn. 5 runs at blue should take half an hour. Belleayre is pretty empty today.
