2025 Garden Thread

Bandit got away, it's an old cage and had some damage previously by a raccoon and it managed to pry open the back and escape. I think it's squeezing in under the door to get into the garden. A real Houdini, will get it this weekend when I have some time.

I attached old fencing to the gate in the gap below gate and on the latch side, which are both a little more than 2 inches. Also, put a paver stone threshold on top of some old fencing under the gate so critters couldn't dig under. Paver stones alone were not good enuf. Critter dug under and pushed stone into garden area.

Thought I was all set until found a juvenile-sized rabbit in the garden. Thing had squeezed through the gap in the hinge side of gate, which is only 1.5"!

Yeah, mine has blue stone for the gate threshold with a 2-3" metal sweep. Seems it's pushing thru the sweep. Never happened before, think it's a ground hog
