Does leaving a deposit count as "on order"?

Still at the shop until my fitting session with Dan this Sat morning.

Not exactly what I was planning to order for a new road bike (wanted AXS to keep batteries consistent), but the "2024 leftover triple-discounted" price was just too good.

Sure does count!!! N+1 is always in style. Best of luck, enjoy the hell out of it!!!

I'm starting to see rumors of ports with no ships in them to unload... maybe it's nothing... maybe it is... but I'm starting to think if a vendor has a part you want in stock, it might be a case of "buy now or wait for an indeterminant amount of time" ... or the price the next time they're in stock may be a lot higher... and since I'm starting to really not like the SRAM brakes on the Heckler, I pulled the trigger on a set of Saints.

Ordered a new pair of Teravail Cannonballs - Durable casing for the gravel bike.

Was gonna post this in the frown section but its all the same.

Last year, I originally had a pair of the same blackwall tires that I got on this forum for a steal that were brand new, but they were the Light and Supple casing version. It took one ride for me to blow a hole in the rear tire, but I suspected that was perhaps because I had an issue with the valve and might have over-inflated it. So when I saw they had a version that was more Durable i ordered them in tan wall and kept the like new one for a spare just in case.

Now fast fwd to this past week, I had wore out my rear tire with no issues, flats or any other problems and decided at the last minute that riding 77 miles of sand, gravel and roads in the rain this past Sunday with a worn out tire would be bad, so I got my spare and used it with no issues Sunday.

Today went out for a short recovery ride and felt a noticeable clunk in the wheels like I had something stuck in the tire. Pulled over and saw this bubble and a very slight nick in the carbon rim. Not sure if they are related or when I even hit something since I would have felt that bubble in the tire yesterday for sure.

Come to the conclusion the Light and Supple version should be called Like to Suck version, because they suck. Just hoping when I get the tire off the rim isnt cracked. sigh.

Tire was shredded inside probably a 1-5” tear. Still no idea how it happened

Lynskey mullet gravel. Trying to fit into the coastal Carolina flatlands. Ordered in December when it was 50% off, just got it, took the box to the LBS, apologized a few times. The guy was understanding. First drop bar bike I've owned, what can go wrong
