Why not dig around the post the drop some fast set? It's probably a hour job. That kit looks like a small band aidHas anyone successfully used one of these fence repair kits? I have a post that was knocked loose after our neighbors leaned a bunch of crap on our fence all winter.

I was just looking for an easier way since this post is buried behind some large bushes. The post itself seems fine and from what I can tell the entire footing is still intact. This is the way. Replace post if needed
They’re not even ratcheting. Either way, I’d rather a 10mm over 17mmSome manufacturers don't make 9mm ratcheting wrenches. Most sets don't include 9 or 11.
🤷

I’ll look into the pliers wrench, thanks.I would note that you don't have a 16, either 🙂
One of the many reasons I abhor buying "sets" of things.
I've bought several "sets" of sockets, bits, wrenches, etc, where expected ranges are, uh, noticeably absent. I'm fine with the omission of 7mm from most things, since ISO has more or less abandoned it, but at least the manufacturers still MAKE the tools.
Do yourself a favor, and buy a pliers wrench https://www.kctool.com/knipex-12-pliers-wrench-chrome-plastic-grip/ . It's expensive as hell, but it has saved my bacon working on something with a weird size more than once.
FYI, Capri (Taiwan) makes relatively inexpensive, relatively good mechanical tools, if budget is a priority.
Especially since I had to strap the door in place so every time I needed to be on the other side of the gate I needed to go into the back of my house and come out the front door to access the other side. Plenty of exercise walking back and forth.
I had that thought, but then pictured the conversation with my wife and the ER when I fell and explained how and why.I had a similar situation and wound up climbing over ladders to get in and out. "Oops, need another screw, let me climb up and down these precarious ladders and walk all the way around the house ".
Doesn't look like a modern t-shank blade would fit, luckily some old stock is still available on the 'bay...https://www.ebay.com/itm/326115744493I have my father's original Black & Decker Jigsaw from the 60's or early 70's that still works. Does anyone know if a modern blade will fit in one of these? The blades look like this, but the newer one's from HD look a bit different.
