Duke Farms off-site parking?

Want to take the wife for a bike ride at Duke Farms this Saturday. When we went years ago parking wasn’t a problem. Now you have to reserve in advance. While it’s free, they are already booked up for this Saturday. So, I’m thinking of parking outside the campus and biking in. I see some potential places to park across 206 (red circle) that is close the the entrance drive (green arrow) but not really sure if it’s kosher. Anyone with suggestions?

Crossing 206, and riding Dukes Pkwy kinda sucks.

Parking on the Raritan side - there is a paved path to the back gate (path, not driveway.)
Double check that it is open.
There is also a paved path along the north side of the river.
And the Duke park paths to the west.

I always forgot about this gem of a place!

On brooks blvd just south of the park there is a park you can park at. Then ride up to 206. Cross 206 with lights and ride into the park

Thanks all. Those side gates look closed on Google maps and also have fencing so you can’t hop the stone wall. Maybe they are open on weekends?

I think those gates are open during Duke Farms operating hours. If not, you can turn around and head west. There’s a section of dirt path that turns into a paved bikeway that will get you all the way to duke island park. Dirty path has a short section of all roots that you may need to walk.

thanks again all. I called DF and they confirmed that the north gate (accessible by Nevius bridge) will be open for bikes and pedestrians 👍

If I remember correctly this is not a gate that can be closed. Here's a Google street view from that gate. You can see the path is accessible from the road on the left. But that path you see through the trees just goes to that bridge RLB drew a red line on...I think.

Unless it has been changed, there is a gate on the pedestrian path that can be locked.
