Just wait until Trump tires of Elon. I'll be surprised if the bromance lasts more than a year.
This is Charlie Kirk puke breath @Oey12 ...

Just don’t look at the market right now 🙄The irony of Trump dog whistling DEI when this man puts the most unqualified people in positions of power.
Only time will tell how the tariffs will affect regular working class folks. Lots of assumptions right now with only a few negative results so far. I’m sure we’re all looking forward to the positive ones that we’ve been promised…

Years ago when DirecTV added al-jazerra to the channel line-up, my father started watching it just for shits n giggles and he said the same thing: It's less biased than any of the American channels!give me something I can work with here?
I don't use American news sources anymore.
Go check al-jezerra if you want a more neutral view.
someone wanted a DEI hire that failed - I gave you one.
if you didn't know this, I doubt you knew anything about DEI before Jan 2?
do you think being able to pass flight review:type review is not enough for commercial pilots?
Having 1500 hours of flight time is a minimum to apply ? That might get you as trainee on a regional - where the captain has to
recommend you moving up. No matter what, the airplane pilot is not the issue here.
Listen to Live-ATC, sure sounds like the helicopter initially confirmed visual.
This is not something where they judge you - either yahoo or no joy.
on the recent crash:
when the controller assigned visual separation to the helicopter (which was the more maneuverable craft, same as boating rules)
the helicopter must confirm they have the plane in sight, and confirm they they will maintain visual separation.
I've been in this situation - being a pilot-in-command of a small plane, dealing with a large plane - you must read back that you can and will maintain visual separation.
as soon as you say that, you are responsible - you can decline it and ask for vectors for avoidance.
like if you slide in front of a 777 into West Palm Beach, when the GA runway is to the left and offset threshold (landing point) by thousands of feet -
(this avoids wake turbulence)
the problem started when the approach controller didn't realize how small my plane was - they handed me off to tower
and they asked what I was doing out there - I can have a final that is less than 1/2 mile, and they put me on a 5 mile - typical of a jet.
that was 2009. it was Obama! there ya go! I think I parked under John Travolta's plane.......
Do you think is was good press for becoming ATC when Reagan fired all the ones that went on strike?
I also read that TCAS in the plane might not have been working - I am absolutely sure the helicopter anti collision was working. it isn't airworthy without it, and the gvt is kinda strict about that.
PS - I failed my first instrument check ride because I didn't call a missed approach early enough - even tho I knew it was a miss. my reaction was not fast enough.
fucking 3rd generation Italian-american here, I bet the reviewer was 3rd generation Irish, holding the grudges of his ancestors...(maybe a stretch there. it's in the rules. def a Fail.)
Plenty of other threads to read. This is the off topic thread, the perfect place.Has this site transitioned from a mtb site to a political website? Asking for a friend
Sorry, your example of "unqualified DEI hire" is a nuclear engineering and public policy degree holder from MIT who worked in nuclear waste disposal before being appointed to the DOE to be in charge of nuclear waste disposal? Assuming we have the short list of more qualified nuclear waste disposal experts who were under consideration for the role? I get that this person wound up having personal issues and is an easy punching bag because "looks funny" but not sure this is the best example of DEI = unqualified/lowered standards.
If we're now switching to an entirely merit based hiring system, please explain Pete Hegseth.
Following the fatal mid-air collision of a military Blackhawk helicopter and an American Airlines plane, the name of third pilot Rebecca Lobach was initially withheld at her family's request. Former President Trump and right-wing commentators linked her identity and DEI policies to the crash, intensifying speculation and conspiracy theories.

Add time filtersProblem is I can’t seem to get anything in search results, search engines seem to only bring in “retaliatory tariffs” stories from the last day or so, no matter how I word my search
Mexico has already caved.
That's pretty much how I expected it to go. A tantrum would be thrown. Mexico would make a meaningless (and unenforceable) 'concession'. Victory declared.I was under the impression that Canada already had tariffs on many of our exports to them; autos, metals, consumer goods, dairy etc. Problem is I can’t seem to get anything in search results, search engines seem to only bring in “retaliatory tariffs” stories from the last day or so, no matter how I word my search. Anywho, Mexico has already caved. Canada will too after they talk later.

My comment was more that Charlie Kirk (some bible blabbing Trump blowjob giving weirdo) suggests that non white pilots are held to a lower standard to get them equal opportunity.give me something I can work with here?
