OFFICIAL: 2024 Fantasy Football Thread - OWNERS MEETINGS

Saleh is the worst coach in the NFL. Is that even debatable? Not just based on yesterday, but based on his entire career as the jets head coach. He better win in TN or all of a sudden Thursday night against the pats is going to be a week 3 must win.

That said, the 9ers are pretty good. When you pay a qb less than 1 million, you can really stack your other positions. They better win this year or next because once Purdy is up for a contract, he’s going to get paid.
eh, I didnt think the game was that bad.....The niners really look every bit like the super bowl team they were last year. Rodgers didnt look like he could move like the old days, but his arm still looked pretty awesome.

I think teams with good/great QBs come out and look pretty good week 1 for the most part....(im leaving rodgers out only bc he hasnt played in like 2 years) The chiefs, the bills, niners, lions, rams, ravens, texans...not calling Baker great, but he has a great repour with Evans now, cowboys....The good QBs can mask alot of garbage...The teams with not so good QBs typically looks like crap week 1...They need everything working...The o-line, the run game, the defense.....All of which are groups that need time playing together....And they dont get any of it now....Training camp is a joke, pre season is a bigger joke....Giants first team played 2 series in 3 pre season games. Rodgers didnt play 1 snap.

And really it makes sense....17 games now, 14 teams (almost half the league) make the playoffs....the games just don't mean as much as they used to.....That old bullshit of teams avoiding 0-2...that is LONG out the window now. Most of the playoff teams last year went 10-7, 9-8 packers got in, I think 12 wins was the best....There are no more 15-1 bears, 14-2 giants, 16-0 pats......Its starting to feel more like the baseball season....survive it with as little injuries as possible and get into the playoffs.

And Purdy is going to get paid....if Dak Prescott who has exact 1 more playoff win than Daniel Jones got 238M guaranteed and 60m per year....and who has beaten Brock Purdy exactly 0 times.

Man, Dak will account for 34% of the cowboys salary cap next year....thats going to hurt....Purdy is accounting for 0.3% of the niners right now.

eh, I didnt think the game was that bad.....
Compared to what? The Giants game? Lol.

Look, there were some signs that the Jets won’t be a total disaster. But the head coach has shown no ability to make second-half adjustments to put themselves in a position to win a game against the quality opponent. Never once.

Lol, well ya, the giants are in it this year for a new QB for next year, the jets are in it for a superbowl......And I think Saleh is in a tough spot with Rodgers on that team....Like what is his actual input on the offense? That said, the defense is what killing them last night.

Lazard also showed he’s a deserving WR in the NFL… excluding his first attempt.

Peyton Manning reaction is just stupid.

God...Tua is so totally overrated....People think Daniel Jones contract is bad...Tua make 10m more a year than Mahomes for the GARBAGE he ruined our Thursday night with.

And thanks to Tua sucking, Josh Allen spent most of the night on the bench asleep.

Then we had to watch Skyler....my god....Didnt the Dolphins once have a real Dolphin in a tank who played for them???

BRING SNOWFLAKE OUT OF RETIREMENT!

If the NFL let's him on the field for Week 2 and he gets knocked out again, that looks terrible for the league. I think the NFL presses the Dolphins to sit him regardless. McDaniels can kiss him again, but no football.

I’m sure there is something in the contract but there is a chance if the NFL/ Dolphins say “Tua, pack it up, you’re done”, they might need to pay his contract in full. But if he decides to call it a career, then he’ll forfeit the remaining money.
I’m sure these conversations are happening. Maybe they’ll settle. It nobody wants to see that poor guy take another hit and go down like that again.

Reportedly $160M guaranteed with $46M due this year. Man, he should walk.

See I don't think the dolphins would have any problem paying him to retire, much like the colts with luck.... Its not the money for the nfl.... They print money.... The only thing that matters to teams is cap hit. If they can pay Tua off, get the contract off of the salary cap, I think they would.
