The Good Deals Thread

Only XL now.

Looks like they restocked the mythique vrs in different color. Amazing deal. Not sure if only the color is different or components as well.

The colors are different because the VRS is a lower spec'd model as compared to the VRX which sold out at the same price. Basically you lose the Z2 fork and 12 speed Deore for a Rockshox 35 and 11 speed Deore.

It's still a great deal for the money, just not as good as the VRX.

The Mythique heirchy is Amp, VRX, VRS, VR. (High to Low)

You must both work for Vitus... Problem with the brand, I still remember them from the 80s when aluminum bikes first came out and were the rage, is that they really don't have much of a presence here. I actually don't think I've seen one in the woods, which doesn't make them bad bikes, but they don't have much reputation in the MTB world either. They seem to be better than bikesdirect but below other online brands like Canyon. Tbh, I'd rather buy a Marin or GT before a Vitus, even if it's carbon.

Vitus are the sister company to Nukeproof. From what I can tell they have a big following in the UK and are often featured on the GMBN youtube channels that I follow. I got my VRX put together and I think it is awesome, I just need to swap the L/R UK brake orientation before I do a proper shakedown run. It has a 4 bar design, current geo; solid welds, great paint and is very comparable to Marin RZ2 at a similar retail price point. I wouldn't compare them to anything from Bikesdirect or Dicks (GT).

Here's a recent comparo fwiw; Mythique VRX vs. Marin Rift Zone 2.

It's a moot point now. Looks like all the really good deals got snagged up or only oddball sizes are available.

Then we must ride some time so no longer a mythical beast for me...

They took it down pretty quick, but haven't sent out cancellations yet. Interesting to see if anyone gets their order shipped.

Got my Se5 tires yesterday. Amazed they came in a full wheel sized box. Guess Trek doesn't mind paying for shipping big boxes. But for real, how hard is it to fold and tape two tires
Mine came in today. You aren't kidding about the box.

I ordered a 4 and a 5 as you suggested (r/f). They seem bomb proof, almost like motorcycle tires. Lol. Thanks!

Same here. When my wife told me a big box arrived for me and took a picture of it I though for sure they send me wheels instead of tires. She opened it up and sure enough, just tires. So I took them out of the box, folded the tires up like the way they should be folded, zip tied and done.

Slickdeals people are saying the orders are being cancelled.

Mistakes happen. On the flip side the Neuron 6 was listed for $12k at one point yesterday, so maybe alcohol was involved. Lol.
Well then getting fired for drinking on the job I don't feel so sorry about. You don't know what other damage they can do that can't be undone so easily.

I looked at that and wondered how the hell that bike was $799 Every size was unavailable.

Bomber Z2 29 for $199. eBike version, which maybe stronger and tad heavier though.

"eOptimized indicates a reinforced fork chassis that supports up to 169kg (372 lbs) total system weight"

Pasta and bread night is back on! No need to count calories with this fork.
