Are the hook up standard, cold+hot water?

Never saw a dishwasher with a cold water inlet or a dual H & C inlet. Hot water hook up, usually tapped off the kitchen sink supply. Run the hot in the sink, until it’s coming out hot from the tap, then shutterdown and start the wash cycle for best results/fastest wash cycle.

my miele calls for cold water - it rinses cold, heats for wash, rinses cold.
the hot water would never make it from the tank to the DW calling for a couple gallons of water.

100%, I got confused with the washer. When I first moved to the US I was surprised by the hot/cold feed to the washer, even more so by the dryer gas feed, TBH by the dryer mere existence…

I think it’s more of a habit than a real necessity, I’ll just keep it on the hot feed because that’s the way it is right now, but I’d rather get the hot water where it’s needed while the dishwasher runs, not to mention you would end up running two appliances at the same time when the dishwasher needs more water, not sure if ecomically/environmentally sound…not being sarcastic, I just don’t know.

Finally getting rid of the cadaver currently rotting in our kitchen, ready to order a new dishwasher...currently the wife seems pretty much set on this model from Bosch

As I know there's several happy Bosch customers in here, it just feels natural to ask if that's a good model and if the price is Ok, alternatively where one can be had at far better condition if even possible.
This is basically the same model I bought last year. I think we paid a little more. Only difference is mine has a screen on the door.

This is the one:

It cleans great, way better than the newer, top of the line, kitchen aid we had in the last house. Not as quiet though. The kitchen aid says 44 decibels, but was actually silent. The Bosch says 42 decibels, but is noticeably louder than the kitchen aid was. Not intrusive by any means, nearly silent, but I do notice it more.

I'd get the Bosch over and over again. It just cleans much better.

Thanks, that’s the type of feedback I was expecting/ hoping to receive. It’s pretty settled at this point, just need to stop by and place the order.

Go with the manufacturer's recommendation.
The miele incognito has a water softener built-in - so not hooked to soft water either.
