Bikes and Moto-bikes - why do they cost… the same?

You can always get a Kirk Hammett Greeny for a cool $3k, isn't it essentially a 59 reissue? Or you could by the version that they sell for $20k that was made by 1 dude at the factory, and hope that that 1 dude was having a good day.

That guitar has made the ‘59 fetch the money that it does now, but what’s interesting is that Kirk bought it because it was wired wrong and sounds like a Strat. So now there are dentists and bankers fighting over a guitar that’s nothing like Kirk’s 😂 And again, they’ll get what they’re asking all day long. See Rick’s post above.

Generally guys like yourself are in the camp of “this feels exactly the same, it’s just way cheaper”. What air pressure do you prefer Jim?

Well... sort of... the Greeny model has pickups and wiring patterned after the ones in the real one, so it gets a similar sound. If there's anything I've learned over the years of playing and currently owning some 30 guitars, none of them sound the same, even if the specs are identical. It's one reason why I rarely buy a guitar without playing it first.

Personally, I am not fond of fat necks, so I've never played an R9 or other "burst" style guitar that I've liked. Even the R0 (1960) isn't really to my liking. At this point, the only way I'd buy one is through the Made to Measure program where I'd have the neck be a duplicate of the one on my 1984 Les Paul Studio, which seems to have an uncommonly thin (for a Les Paul) neck. But I'm not in the market for a $10K+ guitar right now.

Kirks real guitar is made by ESP. If you remove the entire resale aspect of things, ESP just absolutely blows away anything that Gibson makes in terms of quality and playability. If I had $6k to spend, I would get one of the custom ESP's over a Gibson without a second though.

I had a pile of ESPs at one point. All sub 1k models KH602, AJ7, and the pre-Javier 8-string. The Kirk is so good, I really want another one but I rarely play a 6-string anymore so it would kinda be a waste. But the metal flake purple is so dope. And they’re cheap.

Can you write an "article" and just reference a video?

That's literally what the Slack Randoms post is every week.

We use Slack as our workplace communication tool at Pinkbike and we have a #randoms channel that we use to share an assortment of videos and stories from all corners of the cycling world and beyond... We thought a couple of the moments from the past week were too good not to share with a wider audience, so here are some of the highlights.

Also that video has 750k views lol. Every single forum I post on had a discussion topic on it right after.

More interested in the Pee Bottle. I mean, it holds "4 pees" but if I have a leaky valve, how much H2o will it hold?
the more concerning part to me was

Durable silicone handles the test of time & terrain
🦠 Odor-free & anti-bacterial material
🌊 Holds up to 4 pees, securely
🚺 Wide splash-proof cup for hygiene
🧽 Easy to clean in a dishwasher
💎 Doesn't look like a container for urine

bc you know, thats EXACTLY what i want in my dishwasher around the implements i put in my mouth 🙄
