Whales?

Whales?

That's possible. There was a pod in the Kill a few days ago. And when we first hit the water there was a lot of seagull action following something out into the Bay.

I should have blurred out the old LG registration sticker on thw with windshield to make it a bit harder lol

that was a good hint - i think that rock shoal in one pic is part of the narrows. good pike fishing right there.
and maybe buck mt in the background of the other?
throw in dome island to make it easy.

no reports of aurora making it down that far - would have been cool to catch that.

Oooo will need to check the sched
Location again? Link?

Can’t remember the last time on seaside broadwalk (many years before Sandy). Wow so much better

Fun on the water in Barnegat Light.

Got out on a 17' Hobie Getaway with my kids and niece, nephew. This Catamaran is a nice size for outings like this, it fits a lot of people and is a tank that's really seaworthy.

I rented it from Harvey Cedars, that area of the bay is better for sailing, it's more open with better water depths.

Renting is expensive, so I've been using my kayak daily to explore the bay. Earlier in the week my older son and I crossed the intercoastal from Barnegat Light to Island beach state park. This is always a good adventure.

Love my Wave, but would really like to try a Getaway. Looks like they added it back into the rental fleet. I assume it handles similar to a wave albeit added length + jib = more speed?
