Yeah the M8 looks great. Tho @Carson yelled at me when I said I was considering one!
As soon as someone who doesn't ever track it realizes how loud and harsh it is to drive on real roads. Great track car, shitty road car.
Very cool, I heard him say to the guy taking pictures that he was planning on taking it to pebble beach this year....which is a trip that would probably cost more than my mustang is even worth lol.I found your F40, @UtahJoe. Some heavy hitters in Parsippany this morning. Then some coffee at SMC.

Yeah, looks like CCX whatever variant. Still rare to see, but I'd still pick the F40.Is that a koenigsegg in the back ground?

Wicked cool Land Rover at Red Bank Cars&Coffee on Sunday that my friends and I were checking out (cough, @don, cough). Was not smart enough to take a pic. Brought my new-to-me Husqvarna. Not smart enough to take a pic of that either, but it was kind of amusing to see how many people were checking it out. I guess there are only so many Lambos you can look at.
Fortunately, my friend Zac sent me a sweet txt-sized pic. That's my friend's Boxster Spyder behind and another friend's '57 Jaguar XK140 on the right.

My 12yo daughter was at Starbucks with her friends, watching the cars go by as people left and texting me. "DAD, A LAMBORGHINI". "Yes, there are about 20 here. BTW, Mike offered to drive you home in the Spyder so I don't have to run home and get a car." (She's in love with Boxsters but also a 12yo girl out with her friends). "Um, nah."
When is this? Every last Sunday of the month?I saw you pull in (not knowing it was you) and was like that is a brave soul with how cold it was!
Lot's of Lamborghini's (and Ferrari's and McLaren's). The 308's stood out to me but the other stuff I'm not blown away with - might just be me. Some of the owners look like they want to fight me and or don't think I'm worth enough to be in their precense so I was more than happy to talk to the 17 year old kid that turbo charged his 4.0 Jeep YJ and loved hearing about his install and what his next plan is.
The P-cars interest me more as some of them don't cost as much as a house and the older ones are just cool. And that Jag XK140 stuck out - I took some time looking at it - total beauty!
And I didn't self take a pic of my 110. I was walking around and my buddy Zack from Rovers North in Vermont texts me that pic and was like "does this look familiar?" He is the know all of Land Rover's but I was still surprised as I wasn't there long.
Great to see you guys and hopefully chat some more next time when we aren't all freezing!
PS - that last pic is when I got home - typical Rover but isn't a bad fix (just messy)
Edit - forgot the Ford GT
Yes. Or 4th Sunday? I can't recall exactly. LOL.When is this? Every last Sunday of the month?

@don, I can't remember if we said - the Ford GT is owned by Carl, a total car nut. He and his son own a minty K-car 'vert that I think we mentioned while lamenting a bit the way the event has transformed. You should pitch John on converting his brother's Land Rover to Cummins power!
Honestly, the C&C used to be better IMHO, especially before we got kicked out of the Grove. Less every-Lambo-of-the-rainbow and more totally random stuff. A guy used to bring a (replica) steam car! Another guy would show up with a Model T speedster built up with period performance parts. Our friend Mike could be counted to show up in something random like a Citroen or a 30 foot long 2 door Lincoln. The battered Sterling was more like old times.

I stopped by my accountant a couple of weeks ago to drop off my tax stuff and chatted for a few minutes. He supports a bunch of car dealerships and several other businesses and corporations in addition to his private clients. He tells me that car dealerships have been killing it since 2020. Some are making 5-7x as much as they were pre-pandemic. They're all doing the happy dance because they're making record revenue while carrying a lot less inventory. Bottom line is that they're living up to the car salesman stereotypes while the getting is good, but things will eventually go back once car manufacturers get back to full production, because the mfg'rs make their money off of volume, so its in their interest to crank out as many vehicles as possible.PSA - Don't shop at Clinton Honda:
Well this was going to be a post about the new 2022 Odyssey (Silver with Mocha brown interior) that I had a deposit on from a month and a half ago. He originally told me end of March/early April. But the car came in early and I cant make it to get it before March 31st because of work and life reasons, he told me now he cant hold it for one day and has to give it to the next person.
Told him refund my f%^& deposit and F Off. So much for customer loyalty as I got my current one from this same stealership. The sad part is even if I complain they don't GAF because they have people lined up for these cars while they are in transit.
My current lease is up in June, now I have to call around and see who might have one with the options the wife wants that has not been already reserved.
😡 😡 😡
I had a similar, but worse situation happen to me at Nielson Dodge, ordered a Jeep provided a deposit and when it arrived they increased the price by $100 a month and told me they would give me less for a trade in. I had to shop around the tri-state, but found a better Jeep at a better price and amazing customer service in PA. It was 2 hours away but well worth it and was willing to hold it for me after it arrived. Only had to wait a week for it to come in. Def try PA or any place outside of tri-state, much better customer service.PSA - Don't shop at Clinton Honda:
