Whats your current/favorite hydration bag?

Im in the process of upgrading/replacing my gear. Currently have a newer Camelbak classic that i wear but Im looking for something with a bit more storage space. Nothing super big, just space for a regular size tube or two, some basic tools and some snacks if needed. A ton of options out there, let me know what you use and pros/cons if you have any. I was looking at the CB Mule but the new version seems to be a bit overkill (storage wise) for what i need.

SHUTTLE 6L BIKE HYDRATION BACKPACK

it's small but it fits a 2L water bladder, small hand pump, multi-tools, CO2, snacks, very minimal first aid kit, phone, keys and i can cram a jacket/top layer in there (although it does kind of stick out the top). i've been using it for years and the only thing i needed to replace was the bladder.

Just picked up a USWE Airborne 9, will try it out once the weather warms up. So far I like the cross strap design (no separate hip strap) and it should have enough space for a long day ride without being a huge backpack.

I have 2 hip packs. One is the hot laps stealth from Dakine which is my sub 2 hour option. Holds a 2nd water bottle (or 3rd for my other bike) and I have a Osprey Seral 1.5L for anything beyond that.

The Osprey is a bit much but coming from a backpack I'm sure it would be a much appreciated sizing down.
I use the Osprey Seral 1.5 as well, both short and long rides. It replaced a full size Osprey (can't remember the name) which I also don't find too bulky but that I now use only when carrying around my Silky Big Boy just because it doesn't fit in my hip pack.

I have their Chase vest and it's great, if not a bit small for my Clyde frame.

Camelback Mule. It's my second one, the first one lasted over 10 years. I looked at the Rouge but it's to small for a pump

How much stuff can you get into the Mule. My oldest bag was the first gen Mule and I loved it. Like I said, the new one seems to be a bit much storage wise.

I have 10yo Camelbak Hawg w/3-liter bladder. Lots of space for gear/clothing, lots of water, and I love it! But, I’m 2-years after shifting to a small frame bag, that I just replaced with a full frame bag - love it 100x more! #freeyourback

Have 4 Osprey in various sizes. The designs continue to evolve well.

Keep a pump, some basic tools and a tire plug kit inside. Their is a small zippered pocket outside I put my phone and keys in. An outside pocket for snacks. You can cinch it down or open it up to hold a jacket

I pack all this into it plus a 3L camelbak res. Also using 2 organizer pockets to increase storage/ease-of-use.

Ive been seeing these on some local riders- in photos. i thought this 4point harness nonsense was just another bad designed so i was waiting for it to die off.

With all the local feedback on this thread, lets take it a step further. With the carry you have in the photo, is the bag bustin at the seams? What model do you have here in the photo?

Still have a lot of space in the pack. The 3L reservoir, tool roll, and tube takes a little more than half the main compartment. The pump and selfie stick are in the front pocket. Everything else goes in the 2 pocket organizers.

I used a pig's bladder with a paper straw. Very environmentally friendly and has the musty faint taste of a pig's life well-lived, which negates the need to add artificial supplements to the water. I never need any tools because I ride perfectly on an endless supply of brand new parts, negating the need for on-trail repairs.
