(31/31) Fin.

Total Distance: 397.12 mi
Total Moving time: 38:15:16 h:m:s
Total Elev: 6470 ft
Beers: Prob like 9
Days I wanted to bag it: 3 for sure.
Washed Gloved: 3 times.
Trim Sessions at 6MR: 3

4th year of 31/31 complete. Thanks to all here for the support with likes an Strava Kudos. Love this challenge cause it pushes me to get out and ride. Sure it can cause some minimal turbulence at home, but still worth it in the end. Total Mileage/Elevation was down, mostly because my go to ride was the towpath. The key to being successful in this competition is Victory Loves Preparation.

Having bottles, gear, and a plan goes along way. Its never truly just an hour. Its easily an 1:30 if you only ride moving time for an hour. Get home, get dressed, pump up tires, get out, get back, fix bike issues, shower, etc. When you didn't sleep well the night before, you work overtime, or just a long day its a struggle to not say "F it!"

My overall riding this year has been down, but I definitely felt myself getting stronger throughout. Rides got a little longer to get the hour in. Saw a bunch of cool stuff, including the bald eagle on July 4th, due to this challenge!

Props to all those that got 31 in, and those that got in what they could! Thanks to HALTERS, MTBNJ, JORBA. @jdog, @clarkenstein, @Norm and the rest.

@Norm - I'm not looking to claim, but I'd like it to go to a NICA kid/team if possible.

apologies for the delayed posts!

day 30 - thanks to apple watch failure (or more likely end user failure) i only recorded 34 minutes of an approx 2 hour ride / trail maintenance session!

so, it's basically like fumbling at the 1 yard line...

alas - it just wasn't meant to be!

i did build a nice little berm tho...so there's that!

I’m glad the 31 day challenge is over as I flew to Wyoming on day 29 and since then it has been very complicated. I eeked out the challenge with my banked mulligan but I intend on riding the remainder of August once I return home. Wyoming has been an adventure as I’ve been doing all the other non-biking fun stuff like hiking, fishing, shooting, visiting the rodeo, and touring Yellowstone. It’s been great but it’ll be nice to be home tomorrow. I’ll continue the riding every day starting the 4th…we’ll at least until I go back to work 😉

Thanks everyone for participating in the challenge.

Can everyone send me a private/direct message (PM/DM) if you want us to have the certificate sent to you or if you want to donate it in some way. Once we have everything worked out I will send all the stuff out via the good old USPS.

Please be patient as we will need to work with Jason at Halters to get the certificates, as well as my sticker printer (oh, what's that?) in addition to some of the JORBA folks here.

Again, thanks to everyone for keeping this going! It was an impressive month!
Super congrats to everyone who participated and or completed this challenge. We’ve run this a bunch of times and it always impresses me to see the outcome.
I’m aware that at times it makes people hate their bikes, but I’m always hopeful that this competition let many of you find a new place or way to ride your bike.
Bikes have been my life for 40 years and I’m still inspired and humbled by the places a bike can take us.

Thank you for being part of this and encouraging me to participate. I've been a member here for awhile and usually dismiss these challenges as if I don't have the time. I've been proven wrong. Taking a few days off, but plan to resume riding regularly after that.

The streak is over. Long day at work today and decided it's just not necessary to ride EVERY day. Riding today would have sucked and the next two days at work will also be tough. I wanted to make it to Labor Day as long as I didn't stress out over it. But the end came unexpectedly soon. Oh well. It's actually preventing me from doing longer rides. Still plan to ride a lot more often. The fitness is great. Big thanks to everyone for making it happen...

Mine ended on day 33. Got dressed to ride and ended up doing an hour of chores in my kit. My morning window closed, so I showered and changed to do some stuff that I had back-burnered for a while, and hoped to ride later.

Eventually, so much of the day was gone that I knew I had to choose between a late night ride or riding today before work; couldn't do both. Chose sleep and morning ride.

I think I did myself a huge favor by skipping yesterday; my ride this morning was kind of perfect. Only 40 minutes long, it left me energetic and clear minded. I don't have that stress of trying to keep a streak going, but I have that certainty that I'll feel better if I ride.

Props for trying to keep it going. I thought about it, but I had stuff I needed to do on Sunday along with the rain. And in reality, my legs really needed a few days off the bike. I had to go out for a few minutes yesterday to pick up my car from the shop and everything was still pretty stiff. I'm planning to ride XC today after work and it'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Been off the bike since Sat. as well after doing 42miles of Endurance SS at the MASS race. I've been really run down since. Going to do something today, walk or ride, not sure.
