Winter Shoes?

Now that its getting colder I want to pick up a set of mtb winter shoes for cyclocross/commuting. I bought a pair of Sidi Hydro winter shoes (the road version) for commuting during the off season, but never got to try them out. Since its my first year racing cx a pair of mtb winter shoes would be more cost effective so i figured Id sell the road Sidis and pick up a mtb winter shoe. Any advice to what brand/model?

I saw a couple threads but some were ~2+ years old and assumed there were new models out by now. Also maybe people have gone through a set in that time and tried something different.

what size are the sidi's?

Lake and Shimano make nice stuff for winter...

I did for two reasons... I want as much blood flow to the feet as possible and for thicker socks

I didn't find an abundance of extra space in the lakes at a full size up. Definitely don't buy the same size and it's best to try them before you buy.

As for longevity, I've worn my Lake boots for two seasons and they're not even close to worn.

got yah. curious how much the larger shoes effect running. not like i move very fast on my feet
