from our place,we rode on the roads for saving time and energy reason,then after racing either one would be ok.(road or off-roads by taking patriot path and lenape)

without hesitate,i rode to high mountain reservation wich is only 8miles away from my apartment.

For what it's worth, I rode Sunday at Allamuchy, used a printed map from somebody on here (would have been totally lost without it), found Lumpy Bumpy, had the time of my life (probably the best slow, technical trail EVER), and sampled some other great stuff on the way in and out.

Saw a fox running toward me, with a mouthful of critter, before it spotted me and took off.

Saw nobody off the rail trail. Folks don't ride on Sunday?

I had a great time. I need to hook up with some folks on a technical tour.

commuting in the rain

man,..i'm a filthy biker.my body was full of shit (dirt,oil,shit,sand,dead carcass bit,grease) but..very content.
i love this commute route,it is very save. as this was following LWG and ECG bike trails from jersey city.

Road ride

Hi Liong,

I was out this evening as well on the road but seemed to miss most of the rain in monmouth county...easy paced spin, nothing hard. Had an orthovisc injection in knee yesterday(first of three over the next 3 weeks) and was advised that i could ride but don't push it. So for once I listened to the medical advice

and i have no idea hows happened.
but i noticing it many month before on that suspicious round line.
until last month i ask halters mech to look it up.
it turn out i'ved been riding cracked frame for almost 6month long

It's good to get a new frame every couple of years...
I'm just glad it didn't fail on you. You said you noticed the crack a few months earlier, did you notice any change in the ride?

running a little late todays,lots of stuff to deliver.
route was consisting riding on patriot path and on roads for the most part
i like to entertaint me self by riding on differents route.
at one point i make a detour,..on horseneck rd under I-80 bridge make left onto ATV's trails.this trails can be seen from I-80 east bound.near by montville area.just before passaic river.
dunno who own the property,so i follow it.but not so much interesting for me.
then heading back out continue my commute.

first ride on my newly replacement warranty bike.

today me climb like mountain goat (probably due to riding MTB on roads for a month)
loves this new frame.
