Unrelated to this thread I am doing the same thing. I have Guide RS brakes and they work but I just keep wanting something that feels a little more similar to the Shimanos I had on my old bike. I am really looking forward to trying the XT 8020s.So.... as to not leave you guys hanging, I took @Karate Monkey's advice and ordered M8020 this morning.
Not sure if I should thank him or curse him as it was more than what I wanted to spend....
