Rode Lewis Morris today, got out from work early.
I couldn't ride most of it, bike getting tossed everywhere on anything with previous tracks. I'm putting my epic together and I'm going to try that bike. I could use the rear cush and granny gear for sure.

wow, holy shit did I find some cool shit today!

I rode 20 miles of the Lenape trail and found some seriously cool shit out in the woods/trail.

First I found like a gazillion miles of atv trails in West Essex park in Caldwell. Mostly underwater though.

Then I found the craziest stash of old cars I've ever seen.

2 model A fords, and a plethora of Corvairs behind them including 2 station wagons.
COOL!

Cool stuff.
Link to album for those interested in spotting cool car stuff
I spotted a couple Model T's, and a Willie's notchback and a firebird.
Nobody loves these cars 🙁

Wow, that's pretty wild. I totally dig finds like this. Would make a hell of a cool Candyland Map icon.

Yeah but it's a horrible ride.
Check out this section of the Lenape trail. Closed to bikers due to erosion 10 years ago. LOL those hikers surely know how to upkeep a trail.
Look at this mess. That's the trail! look at the yellow markers. haha

awful riding.
I took a spill coming down one of the fireroad/mudroads and got covered in mud. It was gross.

My first car was a '66 Corvair.

If you could overlook the carbon monoxide leaks, it was a cool ride.

That one there's about a '64.

They are up there on my favorite car. First production car with a turbo.
I'll own one one day.
Beautiul car
fuck Nader

nice ride luke....where were you when you found those cars? could they be by the junkyard out rt 46? last time i was there, i remember seeing a bunch of old cars in the wooded areas....

ah yes "unsafe at any speed"

honestly, most 60's cars were unsafe at any speed. My 67 mustang....I shutter to think what would happen to that car in an accident. I used to have a 64 Ford Galaxy...same thing. Full framed car, but holy shit...every surface in the interior was a like an edged weapon. I would rather be in an accident in my little shit box, plastic saturn any day.

That one ford in front of the pontiac looks like a 1936 5 window coupe. Dont know for sure without seeing the front. But that what it looks like to me. Would make a sweet hot rod. You have to take me to this spot sometime.

I saw this a few weeks ago. If you want to know what would happen in an old "tank" vs. a new plastic box check out this video.

Edit: Ok apparently our wonderful highway institute has forced the video to be pulled for copyright reasons. The pic still shows the results.

Did some rock gym today, light stuff. I hurt my back climbing on Saturday but I think I just pulled something. It wasn't my chronic back problem. Felt fine today but I'm going tomrrow again with my wife, Utah, Eileen, Aaron, and a bunch of other biking peeps that don't post here.
So I didn't want to kill myself today and have hurt arms tomorrow.

Tried to inspect my car but the line was 3+ hours. I can't wait for my hosiptal to be run with that staggering government efficiency 😉

i think theres some new stuff upstairs, when i was there yesterday a guy was setting a new route, he didnt finish when i left though

There is a new V0 or V1, an orange one. I did that one today. I thought I just never tried it before, guess it was new. haha
