Was going to post in the tech section but it's specific to road brakes. Just installed new shimano caliper brakes. Old cable end cap or ferrule won't fit in adjustment bolt. Spent an hour researching all over online and it sounds like there is no need for ferrules on shimano brakes? Just want to confirm with you guys. Anyone know what I'm saying? Sounds like you just put the end of the housing in the adjustment area without a ferrule as shimano has a "captive ferrule". Is this correct? How's it working for you? Just double checking. Thanks.
