Parked main lot, storm, get out quick but, lost, stream became raging river

So went for a ride last night, wheels down at 5:20. Started fine got about 50 minutes in when all hell broke loose. Panicked attempting to get out and took a wrong turn. Lost. Then in the rain everything started to look the same, more lost. Finally stumbled on a trail I knew and was able to get back down to the stream. Only by now it's been pouring for 45 minutes and the stream is about 3 and a half feet deep and roaring like a class 3 rapid. So, bike on shoulder, feet into water and trudge across. Pedal back up to the lot. Strip off wet clothes.

Luckily not struck by lightning, no trees fell on us and the snake did not bite me.

We were there just before the storm hit. It was pretty bad. We saw some road bikers leave for a ride minutes before the downpour. I bet they had fun also.
