Nov. 27 Moving time: 1:34:00

I got a late start, so unfortunately, I knew I was running short on daylight. I decided that I should turn for home and figured if I pick up some coffee, then the short ride serves a dual purpose.

did a lot of riding around town just to try and make the time up. I feel I am sooo close yet so far.
The rain doesnt make it any easier either. Nice cool sunny day would be easy.
So gave up some sleep time last night to leave early for work and try to make up some bike time. Also left work a little early to try to make up more...and beat the worst of the rain.
Then took the Puppy and The Hubby on a short road ride in the rain.

grand total = 58:45:54

so one day to go and I need 1 hour and 15 minutes....but did I mention the rain?
ugh, I just dont feel like going out again today.
And most likely wont want to commute in the rain tomorrow.
Someone say something encouraging...

Hour and 15? Not even a challenge for you. Only 20% chance of rain from 10PM to 6AM, you can get an hour easy and you get a chance to win a pair of shorts that have been blessed by @jimvreeland's taint!

So I look back and think, "what did I gain or learn (or reinforce in my head) doing this"
well, I didnt lose any weight, but didnt gain either and with Thanksgiving indulgence thats good I guess.
After this, doing 1 hour a day seems easy
found a roll of duct tape during one ride
found a roll of 2 inch wide electrical tape during another
learned that it really is ok to sacrifice a ride to do chores
learned that it really is ok to sacrifice chores to do a ride
Hubby and Puppy have the ability to motivate me to ride even when I really dont want to
that I REALLY want to take a couple days off now
wanting to ride is much better than HAVING to ride
broke a spring on my beloved GT, good think I have 2 spare springs and 2 spare shocks
I wanted to go out today and do another hour or so, just to prove I could do 60 REAL RIDE HOURS without a bonus help, but I am tired, my legs are tired, and since the rules were written that bonus hours do count, I think I am done. I could do it if I really HAD to, but I dont WANT to, it wouldnt be fun at this point.

Total challenge hours = 60:17:49

and heres my broken spring

Well as previously anticipated, I will not hit 60, but I was determined to beat 50 and achieve a personal goal of being my biggest recorded month. Keep in mind, me and Strava only got together in January 2016 for BIYF. But, I needed to get 50+ to meet this personal goal. That meant I needed 22 more minutes.

So, I got out between the raindrops this morning. I suited up in the rain gear prepared to get wet if my meteorology skills were off the mark. But, as it turned out, I did not get rained on. Did 1:23. So...

Thank you Jim for putting up this challenge! I have never ridden so many hours in a week, or in a month. This was the first time I rode every day in a month. I definitely pushed myself and explored a few new areas that I wouldn't have otherwise. It forced me to get out every day and have fun exploring and riding my bike. Time to eat and nap...and get some more Peanut M&M's.

I spent my birthday eating cake!!

We're done!!!!!!!

Will do final update later today when I get to a computer. But Ryan won. By a lot I think. I'm also knocking myself out of the Prizes because I don't want this stuff here anymore. :)

Awesome job everyone who pushed to make it. 15 hours a week is not easy by any means. This group should be well-prepared to school the BIYF Contest.
