Going Long and Hard.

I still have to get my race resume up to par to get into the 350. Doing the shorter one will go a long way towards that though. It's a good sign that I was at the top of the Waitlist.

Now that you are in the 130 (which is awesome!), how is that going to affect time/budget for the other races you were considering qualifiers? You mentioned the 130 is going to be nearly as expensive as the whole deal.
Good Luck!

I'm basically f@%ked. I may have to condense my bike collection a little further.

Congrats Jim! Looking forward to the journey.

Catching up because I've been riding my bike a lot.

Still sans car so I commuted everyday. Thursday was really nice so I did an extra 30 miles or so after work. Friday was my son's birthday so I had to book home.

Saturday.

Saturday I had a day pass as my kids were at a slumber party. I used every minute of it and rode up to Bear Mountain and back. Basically used the same route I took to SSAP but went up Perkins Drive instead.

Rode in and out of rain storms throughout the day and just made it home before it really opened up. Ended up with 150-miles in 8.5 hours. I only stopped twice, once at the top of Perkins and then on the way out of the park.

Sunday.

I slept in a bit and got a late start on Sunday. Planned on doing a quick Century to Washington's Crossing, through New Hope, and then back around Round Valley. Nice, flat, and fast. My butt was a little sore and it took a bit to get going. We had plans for the afternoon so I cut the ride short and only did 80ish miles.

Bumped back into the lead for the National Bike Challenge and completed the Strava MTS already with 2 weeks left so I'm gonna try to double it. I want to turn this thing up and see when the wheels fall off. This week was 400+ miles in 25-hours.

Damn Jimmy nice work. You need a side job where you transport people via bike rickshaw all over NJ.

A Fatbike Rickshaw! I think you may be on to something. You, well @jimvreeland, could ferry people around the national parks, off road!

Jim gets a workout and the desk jockeys discover that the nature channel isn't CGI..... Win!
