Garmin Edge 205 issues

I didn't know where to post Garmin issues, but I have a question?

Does anyone know what the heck is going on with my Edge?

I turned on, said low battery, is searching for satellites and now it has a loud continuous beep. Tried to plug in, but nothing is happening..

Is there a reset button code or something?
 
mine kept shutting off...and according to MtbDawgJeff it was common issue w/ no fix.

Garmin told me:

In the meantime, I would also recommend trying the following to see if
this happens to have any effect on the device.

First, use the Web Updater to make sure the firmware is current. Here
is the link to download the program Garmin Web Updater.

Use the 2.4.2 Version for Windows; 2.0.6 for MAC

Also, you may try a Master Reset. This will erase any data you have
stored in the device that you have not saved and will reset any settings
changes you have made within the device.
1.) Power OFF the device
2.) Press and hold MODE and POWER at the same time
3.) The device will boot-up with a prompt asking 'Are you sure you want
to erase all user data?'
4.) Highlight Yes and press ENTER
5.) The device will reboot

Ended up sending it back and they gave me a refurb for $60. Dont know if i got robbed, but i got one that works now. :hmmm:

The Power OFF button doesn't work.. I tried the hold MODE & Power, and still nothing..

I tried your Web Updater Link and finally the oud beep stopped and is now in Battery Charging in Progress mode..

Not sure if its the link or perhaps the battery was just so low.

Anyway, thanks, I hope after it fully charges its back to normal.

Getting it charged for my trip up to VT this week.. Yea!

Same deal kept shutting off went with $69 refurbish. Mine was 4yrs old and a few drops later. Waiting for mine to show. Though bonefishes warranty 305 is working quite nicely :D. Wife inherits the refurbished 205...

yep, i meant $69, ...i beat the shit out of mine: rain, snow, crashes. so i thought it was worth it. It is a pretty resilient unit. :getsome:
