Best (beer) bang for your buck?!

Sure, a $10 bottle of fancy Belgian beer is yummy, or $16 4 pack of imperial IPA, but what are those reasonably priced brews that really satisfy? (I think under $10 a six pack qualifies as "reasonable" for the sake of this discussion).

  • J-Dro mentioned Spellbound IPA and I second that.
  • I humbly submit: Victory hop devil

Same Adams rebel is less than 10 for a six.

Although fuck me if I'd ever drink that shit.
( just a Boston hater)

Actually PBR isn't that bad. It's become very cliche with the Hipster movement/ Northwestern free riders making it so popular.

When I was at school in Providence the king of inexpensive beer was Narrangasett. Like PBR it went down fine but left you with a heavy head and loose neck the following day.

It's been a while since I've had it, but I recall Lion's Head Pilsner being decent, and also dirt cheap. Beermenus.com is saying that Readington Wine and Spirits has it for $5.49/6 pack or $17.50/24 pack.

Don't get me wrong I love me some Pilsner and lagers but ales have such a hold on the palate of the masses right now.

If your'e going bang for your buck , which most of the beers listed really aren't- I've been seeing expensive ones mostly- I like the Saranac beers. They are a micro-brewed beer and most of their six-packs are still $7.99

I agree with Sierra Nevada, their full line is really quite solid,
and usually around $8/six.
And same with Founder's all day.
Very tasty for a session brew.
