Hi Folks, Here is the 2023 Deer Management information. Maps and Closure Dates Mercer County Deer Management
There are signs posted at trailheads and orange chains raised when closed.
In a nutshell for Mercer Park:
Bow hunting is permitted Monday through Saturday, beginning Saturday, September 9, 2023, through Saturday, February 17, 2024. During days when only bow hunting occurs, the park will remain open to the public. Park users are required to stay on marked trails, keep pets on leash and wear bright colors.
The region north of Lake Mercer will be closed to the public for firearm hunting Monday, December 4 through Saturday, December 9 and every Wednesday through Saturday thereafter, until February 10, 2024.
