Trail Training class this Saturday March 7th at Thompson Park starts at 8:00am. Call Melissa to sign up and attend.

I highly doubt those dates are all for Hartshorne. They are probably the days when there will be trail maintenance throughout the county parks.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I work all weekends. Are there any plans to expand volunteer days to midweek, etc?

sorry all, yes those dates are for all MCP, not just hartshorne woods.
Sorry at this time, their is no talk of weekday TM's still.

For anyone who wants to sign up for TM but hasn't taken the required training:


Hi Volunteers!


The next Trails Maintenance Training Workshop for volunteers, ages 16 & up, will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, October 3 at the Thompson Park Annex Training Center, 53 Longbridge Road, Holmdel.


The workshop serving as an introduction to Park System safety rules, tools and equipment, and maintenance overview, the workshop also provides the opportunity to meet the Trail Crew leaders.


All volunteers are required to attend an initial training session before working on the trails. Once trained, Trails Team members may assist with trail maintenance and construction one or two Saturday mornings a month at parks located throughout the county.
