This is an awesome bike but I just don’t ride it so it needs a new home. It’s got a bunch of scratches on the frame from typical use but everything is in great condition. Stans Arch/DT 350/Maxxis ardent wheelset. Tires are like new and wheels are in great shape. Shimano SLX brakes. Race Face crank and the rear is a geared hub with spacers for a 19 tooth cog. Can be run Ss or geared. Currently set up 32x19 SS. Whiskey carbon rigid fork and stock fork included. Message me if you have any questions or offers. Size large - $800

Isn't that large just a modern medium geometry with a short stem and a longer travel fork? :)

Indeed. This bike in large + short stem feels spot on for me, whereas the old karate monkey in a medium + long stem was on the small side and handled funny in twisties. Looking at the geo charts, the new karate monkey in medium is just a hair smaller than this large El Mar.

Bump! Anybody looking for a great deal on a large bike? It seems like the whole Mtbnj community is a medium...

I have an XS and Small of this same bike if anyone is interested. This is a solid deal on the LG btw.

I'm assuming same color scheme?

The anodizing that Salsa did on the hubs/seatpostcollars/skewers is the nicest I've seen.

im glad i'm broke because i always wanted this frame... but my carbon frame hasnt broke yet
