WTB: Spokes for Valor 29 Rear (298/284mm 1.8/1.5/1.8)

Long shot, but I broke a 298mm spoke on my Valor 29 rear wheel. 3rd one this year. I thought I had 4 spares but I actually had 2. 🙂 I'll rebuild the wheel when the weather turns. Short term, life is easy if I can get the right spoke but DT Swiss (Stans recommendation - they don't have any) seems to have discontinued the 1.8/1.5/1.8 spoke and I can't figure out where to buy the Wheelsmith DB15.

Why not just go with a 2.0/1.5/2.0 DT Revolution (pretty sure it's revolution) spoke and 2.0 nipple?

Local store would have you out in a few minutes.

I have Valor spokes... but they're still installed in the wheels... which are still installed on the bike... which are still fully intact. Wouldn't mind selling the wheels for something wider though, but that may be overkill for you guys who just need spokes.

I've made quite a living rebuilding Stan's wheels with real spokes. Why they used 1.8s is mind boggling to me. Roadies won't even use 1.8s.

Brielle has, literally, an entire 16x30x18 carboard box FULL of boxes of 1.8s.

There's a reason for that, just saying.

At least you got the wheel set for a good price...
Came here to say you should have a couple extras, but looks like that ship sailed...

My dumb mistake was not realizing the spares package had two lengths of spokes. I randomly picked the correct length twice!

A friend of mine found a 296mm spoke in his spares. That should be good enough for now. Probably smart to ask @jimvreeland if he can fit me in his schedule at some point and get it done right.

Only one reason - lazy. Swapping a spoke - 3 minutes. Replacing a spoke and nipple ( for me) - hour+, after I get some fresh rim tape (which, come to think of it, I should really keep on hand).

I'm dropping my rear wheel off next week. I also did the same thing. Not realizing I by chance grab the correct spoke 3 times.
