I have an original Sims from the 70’s. I would never sell it though. The bearings are still fast af.

My mom sold my boards when I headed to college in 81. 😢 Had a bunch of stuff...Kryp blues, reds, Hobie conicles and double conicles, Lazer 10” trucks, Gullwing 9” trucks, Madrid and Sims decks. I may still have some Road Rider 4’s. Will see if I can dig them out. Did a stint on the Pepsi team back in the day. Hobie was the main rival at the time, as you can see. Good luck with your search. Never gonna let you down.
I still have all my old decks, but they are trashed as we used them as snow skates in the winter. I picked up this vallely reissue as it was my favorite board as a kid. I have a pair of hollow gullwing trucks I wanted to use on it but the reissue has new school truck drilling. 162D0F05-E791-4640-84D9-76FB37082997.jpeg

I’m looking for a skateboard for my son (8). I haven’t dealt with a skateboard since I was 14.
If anyone has something cheap they want to get rid of let me know.

I never got a new skateboard unless I cracked the old one. Too bad. I had some awesome ones.

This thread is bringing back all the memories! I remember being at an action sports expo when I lived in Long Beach, CA, I caught Christian Hosoi's board and handed back to him after he bailed jumping a small launch ramp they had set up. Even hit it a few times myself it was chaos LOL! A lot of the Powell and Vision guys were there Gator, Mark Gonzales, Natas etc...also remember seeing Rodney Mullen and a ton of other guys from that era doing a demo at a local skate shop good times! Me 198~something! :p

Not for sale but here’s my collection of boards from the 80’s hanging up in my garage.

Bought 2 G&S Warptail 2 and an Alva reissue about 15 years ago. This all I have left. Tracker trucks and Kryptonic wheels. My other Warptail had better Tunnel wheels. It was the board I wanted as a kid but then all my friends stopped skating so I never was able to get it. When I saw the reissue I had to get it.

That G&S was my first “real“ board before the wider decks that Alva pioneered came out. Fitting my size 14 shoes on that thing was tough but it was a sweet ride.
Speaking of Alva, this is good synopsis of the times if you haven’t already seen it:

Somewhere in this documentary you’ll also notice a mural that featured that G&S board with Stacy Peralta riding it.
