WTB: Cannondale SI crankarm tool

Im just seeing this as someone who has had Hollowgrams for many years and never needed it to take the crankarms off.....huh.

Did you have direct mount chainrings or a spider? And you never replaced BB30 bearings?

@JDurk text me, I have all of the crank related SI tools thanks to Halters Cycles and their amazing mechs. Can link up with you whenevs.

you never had to service a bb? Or tighten the flimsy bolt that holds the chainring on? Mine would loosen over time and start to creak.

For the Scalpel with the SI cranks, I dropped it off at the LBS and let them deal with it. And it sat un-used for a long time after getting my Pivot T429 in '22.

Yea, I assumed....lol. I was going to ask what bomb proof BB you were running 🙂

I guess I misunderstood what you meant here then.

Actually, I feel like once I got away from the PF30s (the plastic shelled ones the bike came with) and put in the alloy shell that allowed for the bigger BB30 bearings...they lasted alot longer. I used to take the cranks off....get my little pick and remove the rubber seals from the bearings and regrease them...I feel like that kept them working for a good amount of time.

To me thats when life was easy, now I have 6 full suspension bikes in my garage that use about 57 different suspension bearings that are always wearing out

And this is why I am contemplating selling all but 1 of my MTBs. Upkeep is a total PITA. Trying to remember which bike has or needs sealant is enough of a hassle. Never mind expensive components.

Not sure how you got that Park Tool to thread in, the Hollowgrams aren’t even slightly the same 😂
