Im working on a donated road (Cannondale R2000) bike for my nephew that has a 2x setup on chainwheels but a 3x road shifter/brake handle. It is shimano Ultergra circa mid-2000s, but think even a 2x 105 shifter would be fine. Does anyone have something laying around collecting dust? I believe there are ways to "make" the x3 shifter work with a 2x chainring setup, but exploring options that may make more sense. Looking for a 2x road/brake shifter in one if around.
