Great JORBA Wharton night ride tonight!

Thank you so much for hosting these. You guys down south clearly love this park, and it shows.

Somehow it's not really Thanksgiving, until the annual night ride... :)

1/10/15 trail work

Give some love back to the trails this year. First trail work day of 2015 is Saturday January 10. Meet near the trail head @ 9:00. Return to the parking lot before 12:30. Tools, water and work gloves provided. A sense of humor is appreciated.

If temperatures allow, we hope to firm up some of the soft sandy areas near the trailhead. (Just like a soft muddy area, a soft sandy area becomes wider as everyone rides the edges instead of riding the middle.)

January 10 2015 Trail Work Cancelled
Current TWC forecast for Saturday morning shows the temps will be well below freezing. Its no fun attempting to rake and shovel frozen ground. :(

Enjoy your ride if you head out. The Batsto trails will be hard and fast.

**CANCELLED** 3/14/15 Trail Work

March 14 trail work cancelled due to current trail conditions and forecasted weather.

The ground is saturated and soft from the recent thaw. A trail crew walking in would likely leave some damage behind. Current TWC forecast for 08037 is rain starting late Friday night, continuing all day Saturday

The current TWC forecast for the 3/28/15 night ride looks good.
If the trails have yet to recover from two days of rain, we'll likely ride the doubletrack. Either down to Jemima Mount or Godfrey's Bridge.

The WSF staff allows JORBA members and other WSF trail volunteers to meet after dark in the Batsto Visitor Center parking lot . Please do not park in this lot after hours w/o prior permission. You will be visited by the Park Police.

All the usual... Wheels out around 6:00 pm, back before 9:00. Helmet and lights required. Conversational pace that will include conversations about: homebrew; Top Gear; broken axes; soil perculation tests; and everyone's new fat bike. :)

Sounds like fun, sorry to have missed it. Was beat from racing this morning and a long day yesterday, so I pretty much just crashed. Managed to wrap up some odds and ends on the fatty first though. Catch you guys soon.

Another awesome ride with Kurt and the gang! Red trail is quickly becoming one of my favorites! You guys didn't notice but jim would of had to spend the night if I didn't find his keys for him! He left 'em in plain sight under the passenger seat! Only took 20 minutes to find them! :)
