No surprise with the Salma win. I didn't notice the kid at first now it looks like she's got him in a head lock. OK no more kid or mom mentions.
I pick Claudia for the clear winner btw judging from the neck only to keep it fair.

ROFL!!

Of course you didnt notice the kid, who would!!! That is not exactly what one is looking at ;)

Sorry to disappoint you, but Andrea won.

NEXT MATCH: ARGENTINA
Ceci Ponce vs. Dorismar

duelo_argentina_1-1308337092.jpg

The crowd's favorite is Dorismar....but nothing is final yet.

That must have been fixed. This next battle is close but the favorite has lost the edge due to the lack of photoshop in lower pic

This is the first time I have seen this thread, and even though the World Cup was last year, I went through it page by page and read every word of it (and MAYBE I looked at some of the pictures :D )

I will keep on checking this thread for photo updates

Just like Father's Day should be every day of the year, the same goes for the WORLD CUP!

Good news for the 'US&A', they beat Jamaica'Mon' 2-0 yesterday so they will be facing Panama (who beat them earlier in this tourney) for a place in the Gold Cup final. I didn't watch the game, so I have no clue how they played.

Mexico unconvincingly beat Guatemala 2-1 @ the Meadowlands on Saturday. What made the 1st half entertainment was all the fights going on in the stands, one very close to me, a flying mexican missed us by a few rows. It looked like LUCHA LIBRE. It took a good 5 mins for security to show up so a few other 'bigger' fans had to take matters into their own hands to try and break up the fight. Eventually the State Troopers showed up and took my Compadre handcuffed. I gotta say, the Honduran guy took that round. 3 people were escorted out from that scuffle. I saw at least 5 fights close to my section, I imagine it was the same all around the stadium. Not surprisingly, since doors opened at 2pm and the Mexico match was the 2nd of the doubleheader. There is a good amount of hatred between these 4 teams, speaking in soccer terms, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mex and Guatemala. So by having 78,000+ peeps drinking their brains out in a confined environment, well a few fights were to be expected.
A dude from work told me he stayed in the parking lot until 12:30 am drinking and eating and it was a big party all over the place....I guess in soccer you tailgate before and afterwards...I didn't know there is no curfew or time limit for people to stay at the stadium lots after a game.

Mexico is facing Honduras in the semifinals.

On WORLD CUP news...the U17...The USA beat CZECH Republic yesterday 3-0. Mexico beat North Korea 3-1 on Saturday. I gotta say, the fans for the U17 World Cup are nowhere to be found.

Soooo, back to Copa America news....The results for Match 3 (Argentina) are still not in...

In the Meantime, a preview of the Chile match....

For a second there I thought she had something to do with the Oakland Raiders. ( viewing from phone)

I actually watched 60% of the USA game yesterday. Bad officiating man, jaican guy that got red card was just the worst call ever and some of those off sides calls were wrong. Worst of all at no point during the whole game did I see any of the likes of women from this thread. If they was to make soccer the biggest game in this country it could be so simple....

Yeah, I hate it when players dive. That would have been really difficult for the ref to see on the field, but the US player clearly wasn't touched and totally sold it. They need to have a review panel that looks at plays like this after the fact and fines/bans players. It seems especially bad in the Spanish and Italian leagues recently. If you got fined 20% of your salary and were banned for 5-10 games for taking a dive, it would stop.

The US played pretty well. Rematch against Panama will be tougher, and I definitely don't see them beating Mexico, but this game was a least a lot more promising.

I was doing chores around the house while listening and occasionally watching the USA/Jamaica game. Saw the last bit of the first half. USA was playing better but not being fast enough in striking and letting Jamaica come in tight. They need to be more quick to the scene, but they didn't look as bad as earlier games.

I was only listening to the second half so I can't comment on how they played but that is where they got their goals.

Back to FUTEBOL!!!!

GOLD CUP
USA 1-0 over Panama and Mexico 2-0 (in overtime) over Honduras.

Didnt watch most of the USA game, but I hope they keep playing at this level on Saturday :D.
Mexico had to go to OT to beat Honduras....they created a lot of chances but couldn't put it in the net until the OT...2nd goal from Chicharito looks like it was a handball, but I am not sure...probably was, but at least it was the 2nd goal, so there is not much questioning.

So the GOLD CUP FINAL this Saturday evening

Dustin, what are doing in this thread if you don't like soccer :D

This must be the 5th different montage on that pic that I've seen. That's the Argentinean team, BTW. I demand that you take that pic down and stop making fun of my homies:getsome:

Hey Pampa,....if you read this:rolleyes:
What's with Argentina losing to France 0-3 on the U17WC?? at least they beat Jamaica 2-1 the other day, they play Japan today.

Also, I hope you are not a River Plate fan, I forgot if you have talked about your 'colors'. For those who don't know and give at least one shit....River Plate is one of the most famous and successful Argentinian clubs next to Boca Jrs. but are currently one game away (unless they win by more than 2 goals) to being demoted to the 2nd tier league!!!!

Lets wish them the best this weekend, if not for the players, at least for their fans below ;)

Oh shoot, I should've stay away from this thread until better times:eek:

Well, to be honest I wasn't aware of the U17WC and based on what you told me I'm not sure I want to find out what's going on. As for River, man, left-right, you knocked me out - yo soy hincha de River! (I'm a River Plate fan).

I was talking w/ someone at work about this. As far as I can remember, River never has descended to 2nd division (1ra B). It would be sad indeed

Ah, in any case, your post should read "Boca Juniors is one of the best teams in Argentina next THE best of all times, River Plate".

What are your colors?

haha, good one, but not after SUNDAY!

I'm not doing good in that department, my team, Tigres, hasn't won a championship since the 80's and has descended to lower division once and came back to 1st. Meanwhile, the other team from Monterrey, Monterrey, has been successful recently and won a few championships....
