This was my second time volunteering for the Monmouth County Parks system as a trails volunteer. Can't say enough good things about this organization and their work. We removed some trees from a hiking trail and made some water-diversion things (waterbars?) in a couple spots. It was a great pre-ride workout, the people were fantastic and the two hours went by really fast. Appreciate this forum turning my onto these folks, I'll be working crews for many weeks (hopefully years) to come!

Thanks for coming out @kjarrett! It was a productive 2 hr session for a small crew. Despite working on a hiking only trail, you can apply today's skills next time when we work across the road. 😜

The plan is to come in every other week and bang out some work without killing ourselves.

We rely heavily on park system volunteers to help maintain the trails. If your interested sign up, with a regular crew we can do a lot over time.
