I got a cheapo one and it works great. It's loud and sounds like a mini chainsaw. Def a convenient thing to have now & then.
 
so i can charge it once and just leave it and itll be good? or i gotta charge it like my garmin/power meter/shifters/rear mech/blinky all the time?

If not used mine holds a charge very goodly. Seems to always be ready when I need it.
 
Following since now both my mtn and road bike are tubeless I’m reconfiguring my flat repair setups.
