What is with the coughing after a cross race? - I find it annoying not being able to breath deeply or laugh after a cross race without sounding like large Marge. 😀

I have the same issue with the coughing! I think we must totally kill our lungs with these efforts. I averaged 183hr for 38 minutes and 178 for 48 minutes in my 2nd race.

Congrats Norm on your win. I expect you will buzzing with the killer bees soon. Nice comeback from your first race.

mr pixy and my teammate T had a great day, making it to the podium as well. T has had some major health issues over the last 3 years, and I am real proud of her winning her first cross race. I was sorry to miss it, and I'm not supposed to talk about what I did yesterday, but Team Campmor will be celebrating with Champaign.😉

Congrats to all on podium finishes--I'm still kicking myself for getting clogged in the double spiral and losing spots from the get-go. And I second the painful lungs and coughing!

Great job on Sunday, Norm!!!! You did indeed have a very satisfied look on your face!

My race was SUPER GREAT for 3 1/3 laps. I was in the lead and rolled my tubular about 1/3 into the last lap. Could NOT get it back on. I just panicked. Started running, and was of course passed by a bunch of girls.

After a few minutes I just threw the bike down and ripped the tire back on the rim, jumped on and passed two riders to get 6th.

Stuff happens, right??? I was so happy that Tara from Campmor took the victory! She had a great race and deserved the win... I especially liked that she screamed an expletive on my behalf as she rode past my pathetic butt on the side of the course!!! 🙂
