Where is the fvcking nutrition threads?

anyways. My wife has a vitamix on the kitchen counter. It irritates me beyond belief, it's like having a lawn mower, in the kitchen, and is equally as loud and as difficult to clean. So, on a daily basis I use this piece of lawn equipment to prepare my frozen jack Daniels and xanax, then I wrestle it into the sink and clean the 55 gallon drum plastic thing.

My question: is this really the best mixer? Is there a smaller one that is equally as powerful, or that I can drink my ethyl alcohol benzodiazepine shake straight from the blender, without dirtying another glass?

What is everyone favorite blender and why?

Love my vitamix- I've had a few diff brands of blender but this one takes the cake. You won't get the consistency compared to the vitamix. For cleaning I just rinse it with the sprayer but hold it upside down while doing it.
 
There's also the Nutri-bullet. I have a Vitamix, and I never actually wash it. I just rinse it out and then fill it 2/3's with water, put a drop of dish soap in, and then run it for a minute or so. Then I rinse it out. I guess that counts as cleaning it, but whatever.
 
We have a blendtec I like the fact that it is more or less a direct drive... plus google "will it blend" for fun.
 
standard household blender, the screw on bottom piece is the same threads as a mason jar. so put all your drugs in the jar, screw on the "bottom" top, it's now water tight. blend, remove top, drink out of mason jar. No annoying containers to wash.

that is a pretty good life hack right there.....
 
MattyB's advice is best, but if youre going to use any type of blender/juicer, its best to clean it immediately after use.

Oh my God, I think I will have to start using my blender again. Brilliant!
 
I never knew a blender was something that could be better or worse than. Of all the kitchen appliances it always seemed the least needed along with the sandwich press and waffle maker.
 
Many people don't know this but craftsman mowers are threaded to screw on a 55 gallon drum. Pour everything in the drum and screw on the mower. Slowly turn the contraption upside down to force the contents onto blades, just make sure you catch the contents as it dispenses from the mower chute. It's the only gas powered blender capable of liquefying a body.
 
Good news/Bad news

Good news : in the counter NuTone Model 251 is very powerful, easy to clean and NOS replacement pitchers and power heads are available and inexpensive ( also has a mixing bowl and some other less useful attachments )

Bad News : much as this blender will effortless turn a pitcher of ice cubes and blueberries into a smoothie, booze and benzos will blend your highs and lows into tasteless grey pudding and then move on to consume your soul.

Mango, blueberry even banana smoothies are a probably a much better option.

No No No. not the "MagicBullet" - think you meant the "NutriBullet". same company. different product. The "MagicBullet" cant do veggies - just not strong enough. the "NutriBullet" on the other hand is a great product. got mine for under $100. could not be easier to clean. I understand it's not as good as $500 machines but its a great product and gets the job done!
 
The magic bullet is great to buy when on sale if you plan on just mixing protein powder and something simple like peanut butter or a banana in. Anything more complicated (ice, frozen fruit etc) just does not work. I use it all the time for salad dressing. Since it comes with tons of cups it's easy to clean as you just toss them in the dishwasher and grab a new one.

Anything smoothieish I make has to go in the blendtec.
