What have you done to your bike today?

1up repair

I noticed that a bolt backed out of the locking track of my 1up (oneup?) Glad I didn't lose a bike. I had installed the fatbike kit last year, and it moves them outboard with a spacer. Luckily the spacer is twice the size of the ones removed. So went to hd, and they had the right bolt! Added some locktite and back in business for $1.50.

Oh, the other bolt for that track was loose too. The other side was fine.

I completed a lower leg service on my Pike. I also pulled the air spring and cleaned and lightly re-lubed it. I am pretty sure I put way too much grease on it when I performed the Debonair upgrade and the port between the negative and positive air chambers was clogged up. After the fork was back together it was noticeably more supple than before. I also replaced my grips. Went from DMR Brendog Deathgrips, which I liked but wore out in 3 months, to ODI Elite Pro grips which are very similar to the Deathgrips and will hopefully hold up better.

Installed a new E 13 narrow wide chainring, and new chain on my park bike, as well as topping off the sealant in the Magic Marys. Also moved the CC inline on the Knolly back to the slack setting, and reset the sag with my DH gear on for it's maiden voyage tommorow at Creek.

Also did a split tube, tubeless conversion on the wheels i picked up from Liong, threw on an 18 tooth cog, and put them on my SS hardtail. With the 70mm stem i got from Juggernaut, and the bars i got sean, it makes a nice little single speed whip. The SS specific wheelset I took off it, got a pair K-rads installed, along with a 13 tooth cog, and are now headed to the mutant x-ray DJ/PT frame i bought from Jim V.

Not all today, but over the past week

Installed a new master/lever for the fatbike after I getting into a losing disagreement with a tree.

Built the Instigator back up as a single speed. After stripping it all the way down, I had second thoughts and ultimately only stole it's wheels, cranks and drivetrain. Had enough parts on hand to return it to it's original 26+ glory, but this time as a SS. Runs pretty well this way at Nassau.

Finally got the Ghost build finished. Needed a shorter dropper and longer stem (curse my orangutan-like proportions). Now know what I've been missing riding hardtails exclusively, which I'm sure will prove to be an expensive discovery down the line. I had my trustee copilot with me for the maiden voyage.
