Went to Biagio's in Sterling - what a great guy.
It was slow, and I didn't open the menu. He asked what I felt like eating.
Said a veal or pork chop with the cherry peppers and vinegar thing-
he liked the idea, and made it. did the same for the rest of the table.
no menu needed - it was slow, and he was looking for something to do.

My friend Joe said he saw something about tartufo being different in Italy -
he described it - Biagio said he "has this" - ran next door to the ice cream place,
grabbed some fresh vanilla, worked in some chocolate cake, cherries, pistachio cream, and a cannoli shell
for a deconstructed Italian tartufo"ish" thing.

Fantastico

Took the long way to Cape May yesterday via Ocean Drive after breakfast in Sea Isle City. Had a J.Y.D. for breakfast at the Sunset Pier.

Worked here in the late 80s, early 90s. Guy who worked there then bought the place a few years ago. While waiting for this, stuck my head in the kitchen to ask if he needed any help.

A stop at the Lobster House later in the day. While sitting at the Schooner watching the boats go by. My lobster salad sandwich and my wife's half lobster.
