Smooth out your ride and get more traction. I used to ride the fab 50 on 26" wheels when I went 29er I experimented with lower pressure and I rock 35 psi and weight in at a hefty 190lbs.

Whether it's DH or XC, no matter what the conditions are... I always run my pressures to high anyways.:hmmm:

on dh ill run 25 front 30-35 rear, on xc i run 30 front and 40+ rear. i like very little rolling resistance with good cornering.
