West Milford township's Environmental Commission will host a public forum to discuss and review its developing, grant-funded master plan for the community's hiking, biking, equine and unblazed trails.

7 PM Monday November 7.

Trails in Wawayanda State Park's 40-mile marked trail network are due to be included in a developing master plan for West Milford's hiking, biking, equine, and aquatic trails, which will be the subject of a public forum led by the township's Environmental Commission.

According to a release from the commission, the Nov. 7 meeting is designed to both solicit public input and comments on design proposals for the map and master plan as well as site photographs and regional maps that will be incorporated into the "blueprint for the interconnection of hiking, biking and aquatic trails" in the 80.4-square-mile community.

West Milford's environmental commissioners will host project consultant White Environmental Services, which has created a provisional map of the local trail network with the assistance of the commission as well as the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, the state Division of Parks and Forestry, and local hiking and biking organizations.
