So I'm too much of a cheapass to really qualify as true weight weenie, but I was curious about the real weight of peoples bikes and tips as to how people lowered the weight of their bikes. I thought it might be interesting to post up photos of your bike on a scale so that we weren't dealing with the whole "I'm sure my full suspension steel rig with downhill tires is about 22 pounds" thing.
Not really looking to start a competition (although I think it may ), just to get a better idea of the range of real bike weights out there. I realize that not all scales are calibrated, but I figure we should be able to get an idea from this.
Post up the pics with a description of the bike along with any relevant WW parts or tips.
I'll start out with these:
2009 S-Works Tarmac SL2
Full Red
3T carbon bars
Spec Carbon post
Reynolds Assault Carbon clinchers w/Mich Pro Race3 and Performance Light tubes
True WW shot, no pedals or bottle cages:
Ready to Ride with pedals and Bottle cages:
2011 Trek (GF) HiFi Pro 29
Bontrager Rhythm wheels Tubeless - used only Stans tape - no strips
Maxxis Ignitor (non EXO)
Ready to ride:
Tim
