Sunday and everything is frozen solid at 7° I could even ride the unridden and un trampled snow.
The best part was riding on the lake! It was smooth and fun.
The roads are crap ice.

Was about 4+ inches of soft snow today, quite rideable in most places.

The Furnace road is good, first tracks

Laurel trail climb up is good until the steep parts, it all has ice under the snow, and when you need the power to climb
you hit the ice underneath causing a fail.

Like this. There are many spots like this.

Trails that have had quads which made icy covered ruts are a loosing challenge. You get in the rut and can't get out

No traffic trails are great!

Until you get to the low hanging branches.

Hoeferlin trail is good

Got a ride in well after Pete had left - Conditions are dry and dusty, except the "spots" -

Saw a Momma bear with 4 cubs! on timber. Wow, that's a pawfull.
Also ran into @mtbiker87 - thanks for the assist with the multitool.

I lost a hammer tacker (chrome and orange) and a claw hammer (blue handle) somewhere along cherry ridge road/timber/south end/sitting bear.
Let me know if you find it! thanks.

I rode that this morning, just the trails you mentioned and only found one flag and some signs, no tools.
Damn, those trails are tough on an old Geiser like me, haven't ridden them in years, now I remember why.

Found my claw hammer on Lookout. No sign of the stapler.

Cut down an impaler on Reddot. Cut out the floating trunk on Timber.
Think I cut out something head high on Two Bridges - can't remember.

Nice conditions - even with the weather "sweating" a bit by the end of my ride.
