Watch (Garmin?)

My coworker was just showing me all the cool visualization in the Garmin app. Now I have a burning competitive need to make my Fitness Age lower than theirs.

Also I hear they're very good watches. I have a Fitbit but I really don't much care for it.

Whatcha got

Did you end up with *Jeremy's...I just lost my fit bit....

Again, mine isn’t for sale unfortunately, but I love my garmin instinct. It’s my first garmin watch and I don’t know the differences between the instinct and the fénix, but it does everything I want it to do. I’ve yet to try to load a route onto it to follow for a ride/hike, but I know that that is an available feature.

@jShort Tell me about your band experiences
This was my favorite

But they are discontinuing it. Everyone has an Apple Watch nowadays.

I hate the silicone band so I use the stretchy ones. I wash them in the shower and they stay clean.

But wearing any watch on a MTB (or for you, gravel) sucks because they bang into the back of your hand when it gets bumpy. That’s why I sold my Garmin. Plus I get the latest and greatest Apple Watch from work as soon as they come out.

I got jshort s.

Are you guys spying on me? This is super weird. I literally just sent him a spontaneous message last night saying how much I loved it and thanks for the sale.

The Fenix is great. I can't compare as it's my first smart watch aside from a basic Fitbit

I guess it isn’t bumpy by me, always my go to on the mtb

I switched to a cheap Nylon band from Amazon because the Garmin silicone band would give me bad rashes in the summer. Plus it makes it look less like a sports watch now.

Even with washing the band and I swap wrists at night too. It's been a complaint of the silicone bands the watches come with.

It only bounces for me if I don't tighten before a rough downhill. I usually remember to tighten it one more hole after the first downhill.

FR245S so it's probably half the weight of a regular sized Fenix which may play a part in that.
