Wall Bike Storage

Not sure if this is the right place but here you go.

Anyone have recommendation wall mounts which allows for bikes to rotate out of the way. I was looking at Steadyrack but they are expensive so looking at cheaper options.

The other one is made by MonTek.

I was looking at something similar but was concerned about the hook damaging the spokes.
Never broke a spoke with a regular hook. The bike's weight will rotate the wheels so the weight is always on the rim. And let's hope no one talks about rims being misshaped from hanging on the rim.

I have a bunch of racks similar to the first MonTek you linked. They dont damage anything - including my gravel bike's carbon wheels - but the wheels are a pain in the ass to get off the hook.

Avoid the wheel hook and get the tire rack style - the second MonTek you linked.

Spokes are 100% not going to be damaged by the hook unless they have no tension. Even then, you would only need to bend it back straight/tighten it.

Obvs, this doesn't include spokes made from cf composite. Berds would probably damage the hook, tbh. Even with both those, all you would need to do is set the rim so it is between spokes.

And don't hang fairing wheels, but that's a "no duh" moment.

Any thoughts on this style rack, the recently added gravel bike needs a place to hang out.

I had a different style of this with little red dudes when I was in an apartment. It works great, but it’s somewhat bike specific with different crank lengths, wheelbases, etc. so the wheel parts may not be in the right spot for a different bike.
