Just borrow @rick81721 bike. Take one out of his garage. It's OK. He won't be back from Canada for a while and he has a couple anyway, so he won't mind.

Then you have to get spokes.... and nips... eh....

I think you risk to damage the ratchet track on the hub body, I wouldn’t do it.
