Trexxxfest Enduro

I have no affiliation with this at all, but my daughter and I have raced it a couple times in the past solo and with friends and had a lot of fun each time so I figured I would post it up. It's "tame" for an enduro being mostly flowy trails, and in the past some stages required some decent pedaling effort as well. I've felt it had a fun laid back atmosphere, some people even dress up in Halloween costumes, they've had a couple food trucks, music i believe, etc..

Hopefully the link below works for bikereg, but they also have a facebook page. If you are enduro curious, this could be a good ride to try one out.

I did it last year but missing this year/will be away - definitely a good time and for a great cause!

Rode this on Sunday and have to say that it was a great event. Finished mid-pack in sport without having ridden any of the trails previously and terrible preparation in the lead up, so actually very happy with the result. Might have to check out a couple of additional "easy" enduro races next season.

I was semi interested in this but also with zero MTB prep and already committed to a different ride so I didn't go.

How was the course/trails for an advanced beginner ? flowy with a little tech or techy with a little flow? Asking for a friend... ;-)

All flow, basically zero "tech" in the rocky/rooty/steep sense. There are some tabletops, rollers, and berms that are all very easy to ride, but can definitely become more technically difficult when you're trying to ride as fast as possible. Feels almost closer to extended BMX stages than a mountain bike race in some ways.

I finished mid pack in sport-men also. My 14 year old daughter and her friend took the top 2 spots for their 12-14 group, and they both beat my total time by around a minute....that was a bit humbling.

I had a blast but it definitely felt "smaller" than the last few years, and I was also a little bummed the wood fired pizza truck wasn't there, but the barbeque was quite good.

I bet one of them started behind me at stage 1. Felt like I was working pretty hard and almost got caught by a girl I'd guess in that age range who seemed to just be out on a nice relaxed ride.

I did this race and will do it again next year. Had a ton of fun. First time there and did beginner. Ended up 5th place. The trails are built great here. Was more xc towards the end of most stages but still alot of fun.
The people that ran the event did a great job.
Drove to the liqueur store that had the trexxxfest beer and bought some to support the trails.
