that all being said, it is mind numbing, get either loud music, movies, a dvd like the Carmichael stuff or spinervals, or a good workout to follow, or even a book to read if you just want to spin. Nothing wrong of course with just taking the money and buying some good winter gear and Winter Shoes and ride through the cold stuff. I ended up with the Cycleops Fluid 2 trainer, no problems at all. I use it in a room that is directly under my 4 y/o daughters room, and she sleeps fine while I spin away.

yep,
just Ebayed my Blackburn fluid for a Cyclops Fluid2. I literally just put it together 30mins ago. Plan on using it to warm up this winter should i decide to ride to work since i only work less than 20mins away im just getting warmed up by the time i get into our parking lot. As well as 30min to 1hr sessions with what Walter stated above.

And I also suggest, on the advice of a very wise man, get yourself a fan, and blow it right in your face. Trust me, get the fan.

I now have 3 fans for the trainer, and I use it in the basement where it's usually like 60 degrees in the winter.

Trainers are typically more expensive than rollers, I believe.

Thanks for the help. I've been getting out - just not as much as I would like - figured this might be a good thing to have as well. Appreciate the roller and fan ideas - as well as others. Will check out all mentioned.
Thanks Again,
Dan
